I'm Elyse, the creator and artist behind Saltwater Scripts and I'm so glad you decided to dip your toes in the water with me!
I started Saltwater Scripts with a nudge from an old teacher friend (Hey Courtney!) and some inspiration after a heartbreak. I began writing down quotes that inspired me, which morphed into doodles and card-making for friends, which then turned into canvas art. From there, I began commissioning pieces for engagements, weddings, birthdays, private events, and more (writing on balloons isn't as easy as it seems!) This then became Saltwater Scripts—hand lettering and custom art that’s a little salty & sweet.
My goal is simple: bring happiness to anyone and everyone through my art. As a Long Island girl that now resides in Hoboken, NJ, all of my work is hand painted and inspired by the colors of the ocean, the dreams of NYC, strong women, and of course, love.
